The 6 events comprising the 9th Annual Sabor a Cabo Food and Wine Festival culminated on Saturday December 6th at the Sculpture Garden in Puerto Los Cabos. More than 2000 attendees enjoyed food and wine from food booths representing 40 local restaurants and bars, a wine garden, cooking demonstrations from a roster of renowned international chefs and live music in a full moon Palm garden setting dotted with sculpture.
Cabo’s best local chefs were on hand preparing signature dishes in an on-site kitchen stage set up especially for Sabor a Cabo. Funds raised by the event goes to aid the local Firefighters, The non-profit Los Cabos Children Foundation and the Red Cross.
Founders of the Rock Group KISS, including Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley were in attendance, as was Alex González, drummer of the Mexican rock band Maná enjoying live Jazz music by Christine Jensen and a concert by the Chilean rock band “La Ley.”
Compiled by art promoter Isaac Masri for developer Eduardo Sanchez Navarro, the Puerto Los Cabos Sculpture Garden includes works by three of Mexico’s most respected living artists, Jose Luis Cuevas, Manuel Felguerez and Gabriel Macotela.
The collection, together with the installation of bronze sculpture by internationally acclaimed surrealist artist Leonora Carrington on display around the Marina make this one of the most important Sculpture Garden in Mexico.
