The Third Annual Fiestas Tradicionales Fishing Tournament, and Mega Yacht visits
The Third Annual Fiestas Tradicionales Fishing Tournament in the Marina at Puerto Los Cabos highlighted San Jose del Cabo’s 2015 Traditional Fiestas. 103 boats participated and nearly 1000 people turned out for the party afterward making this tournament the largest tournament in the history of the Puerto Los Cabos Marina.
Congratulations go out to Edgar Dueña, Naelson Miranda and Hermes Mayoral who took first, second and third place respectively in the youth shore fishing division and to Javier Saiza Romero, Franco de la Peña and Julio Dávalos who placed in the adult shore fishing category.
In the deep sea portion of the tournament, three 2015 Chevrolot Matiz automobiles were awarded to first place winners for largest catch in Sierra, Tuna and Dorado species categories.
Congratultions to Hector Hugo Pino and the team of Los Leperos 54, who reeled in the largest Sierra, Stephen Crow and the Crow 29 team who brought in the largest Tuna, and Brad Erickson and the Burro III 70 team with the largest Dorado. Someone on each of these three skilled teams will be driving a brand new automobile thanks to Chevrolet and the sponsorship of Puerto Los Cabos.
All fish caught was put to good use feeding nearly 1000 people at a well attended and very festive beach barbecue and awards dinner following the tournament.
The Puerto Los Cabos Marina enjoyed visits recently from two gorgeous mega yachts, the 151 ft. Delta Deadalus, and the 225 ft. Feadship Atessa.
Few marinas worldwide can offer the services required by yachts of this size which is just one of the many reasons we are graced with their visits.
Bon voyage Atessa and Deadalus….safe travels and a speedy return to Puerto Los Cabos!
